Hovhannes Harutyunyan was born on June 24, 1991, in Spitak. He studied at the local secondary school No. 6. In 2011-2015, he studied at the History Department of the Faculty of History at YSU (Bachelor’s Degree), then continued his education in the Faculty of History of the same university, getting his master’s degree. He has eight scientific articles and one thesis published. He attended over three dozen scientific conferences and was involved in a variety of public-volunteer activities. He is the winner of the debate in Armenia.

From 2018 to 2021, he was a teacher-fellow at “Teach for Armenia.” He worked in the “Step Toward Home” program as a teacher of historical knowledge and an instructor in the “debate” club. He was involved in the Upshift Spitak program as a mentor. Since 2021, he has been working at Dilijan Central School.
