Christina Avagyan
Christina Avagyan got the qualification of an artist-pedagogue following her graduation from Yerevan State College of Fine Arts, named after Panos Terlemezyan, in 2017.
In 2017, with the recommendation of the college, she entered the second year of the Department of Fine Arts in the Theatre, Cinema, and Television of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography (YSITC). That same year, within the framework of the UMCOR Foundation, she volunteered to teach painting classes to children with special educational needs at the “We Can” NGO and at the “SOS” orphanage. She worked on the student film “September 19” as a stage designer. At the international “УМУТ” competition amongst the CIS nations, the film was acknowledged as the winner in the “Best Production Design” category.
2019 – Taught painting classes in 30 schools around all the regions of Armenia as part of the ESCS’s “Your Art at School” program.
2020 – Graduated from YSITC, and received a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. She continued her studies at YSITC, receiving a master’s degree in fine arts in 2022.
Since 2020, she has also been working at the “Children of Armenia” charity foundation (COAF) as a painting instructor.
Since November 2023, she has been participating in the teachers’ training program at VSU. That same year, in December, she entered ASPU as an applicant.
Christina Avagyan is also the author of a scientific article. Her scientific article “Symbols and their Semantic Field in the Armenian Carpet Ornaments” was published in December 2023 in the European Research Studies Journal.
