A Little Bit of Lyrics

On November 12, an open lesson-matinee was held in the 6th grade, dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the great Armenian composer, priest, and teacher Komitas. The children presented some biographical information from Komitas’s life, read sayings dedicated to Komitas, recited quatrains and poems on the themes of autumn and love, as well as excerpts from P. Sevak’s poem “The Incessant Bell-tower.” They also presented a poster made by themselves, dedicated to Komitas. The children performed musical performances, singing the songs “Kakavik,” “Yerkinqn ampel e,” and “Sona yar.” After answering the questions posed on the exit cards, the lesson ended with Komitas’s “Shoror” dance. The children had prepared for the event for a long time, which allowed them to enrich their active vocabulary and get to know our great composer Komitas better.
